As the new school year kicks off in the Hickman Mills School District, there’s a buzz of excitement in the air – especially at the brand-new Real-World Learning Center. Students are already making strides toward their future goals, and the innovative approach at this center is giving them the tools they need to succeed.

We are counting down to the start of the new school year! We want to share some important information to help ensure a smooth transition for you and your child.
As the new school year approaches, we want to remind you that Missouri law and Hickman Mills C-1 School District policy require that students have complete immunizations before starting school. It's important to note that students without complete immunizations may not be allowed to attend school.

What an exceptional school year it has been! During my visits to our buildings on the first two days of school, seeing our students beaming with smiles and teachers brimming with enthusiasm for the new academic year was heartwarming. With just two months remaining, the anticipation is building. Yet, it’s remarkable to note that behaviors remain positive, with students smiling and teachers eagerly diving into their classrooms!
Hickman Mills C-1 School District is excited to announce its annual Preschool Screening Program, scheduled for May 28 – 30, 2024, at the Freda Markley Early Childhood Center. This initiative is a crucial step in assessing various aspects of child development and general health, paving the way for every child to receive the necessary support and thrive as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
